CNN: McCain Camp Says Jamie Rubin Lied About Hamas Comment
CNN and other media outlets must have realized that at this current rate, surprisingly set by the Bush administration itself (known for making irreparable mistakes affecting friends, enemies and everyone in between), the US presidential election may practically end much sooner than expected. Hence, naturally, the media come to the rescue and try to make McCain’s contradictory comment about talking to the “enemies” like Hamas, look un-flipfloppin’believably logical and balanced.
The McCain campaign goes further (apparently sensing that the media is on their side), hits back and calls Jamie Rubin’s assertions evident lies, saying that “Senator McCain has been consistent all along”. Even tough there’s no need for any more “sound bites” or “the rest of the interview” because the interview and McCain’s comment is clear enough, CNN nevertheless claims that this substantiates precisely what McCain is saying — McCain is right, Obama is wrong, Mr. Rubin is wrong and consequently, the Clintons must be wrong.
