PBS: Bill Moyers Explains Why Lieberman Supports McCain
“Senator Joe Lieberman, the Democratic candidate for vice president eight years ago has now endorsed Republican senator John McCain for president and become his alter ego on the Middle East. Wherever McCain goes, Lieberman is sure to show up”, says Moyers, as he explains the relationship between the two hawks, both unpredictable, both untrustworthy, both naively thinking that the “straight talk” will sell — it won’t because straight talk can also be nothing but unintelligent nonsense, or if you will, telling sheer lies with passion and conviction, which the public can surely sense after 8 year of Bush and look for other options. How about change we can believe in?
