Ted Stevens Endorses Palin for Governor

There are so many negative and damaging stories about creationist Sarah Palin floating around that it’s hard to keep track of all of them. The fact that Alaska senator under investigation Ted Stevens endorsed Palin for Governor, a person under investigation herself, and the fact that as Mayor, Sarah Palin left Wasilla $20 million in debt, seem to be pretty disturbing revelations. I guess the right word to explain the relevance of both stories would be symbolism. Maybe that’s why the right is so excited about her. After all, when one focuses on headlines, soundbites, “issues” and “values” too much, what’s happening to one’s own country, fellow countrymen, the environment and economy may be very easily overlooked. Based on what we know, Obama/Biden ‘08 means big picture, broad idea and unity, whereas McCain/Palin ‘08 means small picture, division, and the view that consequences (the Iraq war, Abramoff, Stevens, Palin), as long as there’s a general time horizon, sometimes luckily can be avoided. In Las Vegas, they call it gambling, in the McCain campaign, they call it a conservative change, which in latin stands for progressio conservativum, or to put it differently, believing that people are stupid.

Sarah takes on Big Oil: The compelling story of Governor Sarah Palin’s battle with Alaska’s ‘Big 3′ oil companies, as told by the state’s top oil and gas editors, Kay Cashman. 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful:

The Book is very detailed and informative about Sarah Palin’s involvement in the oil and gas industry in Alaska and gives some good insight into her ability as an administrator. If you are looking for more skeletons in Sarah’s closet, or her latest fashion blunder, you won’t find them here.
