Extreme Hybrid 150 MPG SUV Suppressed at LA Auto Show?
“The suppression by the automakers of information about technologies such as this raises serious questions about the judgment, vision, intentions and capabilities of the leadership of these companies. Such conduct by the automakers … is evidence they are reluctant to embrace solutions they didn’t invent”, says AFS Trinity chairman and CEO Edward Furia.
This amazing car has been covered by CBS and CNN earlier this year so one might expect that in time of crisis the auto industry and Congress would do everything to make use of groundbreaking “inventions” like that, at least give it coverage it deserves, especially in California. ScientificBlogging.com has more on the story.
Instead of focusing on private jets of the Big Three CEOs, how about focusing on real solutions — Extreme Hybrid plug-in 150 MPG SUV with gasoline engine that kicks in after 40 miles surely sound like one. Since when Congress is in PR business anyway? What’s next? Should the American rich relinquish the tens of thousands of their yachts and boats because all of a sudden an expression of richness, according to Congresspeople, is offensive to the American public and should be publicly pointed out and blasted? Complex financial derivatives vs. 150 mpg vehicles, extreme bankers vs. extreme automakers, now that’s a bailout worthy dilemma.
