US democracy at work. No matter what you think about this guy (you can certainly disagree with him on a number of issues), McCain’s tactic is a disgrace, not because it’s undemocratic, but because it’s worse than in Mugabe’s Zimbabwe where opponents remain on the ballots to the very end and the fun begins after the election. McCain and Republicans don’t seem that generous, but that’s the conservative party with Rovian tactics at its core, so no surprise there.

After Fox News reporter Griff Jenkins disturbs the Denver protest, the protesters loudly and clearly express their sentiment towards Fox (as if they had any other choice.) If the nation closes itself and literally becomes a “cone of silence” during a disaster like that, you can only imagine how it will be run by a guy who thinks that the military draft may be a plausible idea and diplomacy and seeking peace with “rogue nations” (such as Russia or Iran that most certainly will make up the axis of evil during the McCain presidency) is a bad one.
